Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American producer stage and screen actress, best recognized for her roles in films as a character in Ray Undercover Brother and on the television series The Mentalist. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University and also a Master of acting at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue l. Ellis, an American producer and actress who has been in the theater and television as also, has been actively involved in both the film and theater screen. Aunjanue L. Ellis started her acting career in the theatre. Later, she appeared in television shows as well as independent and mainstream films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and appeared on BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she not only received critical acclaim but also a number of awards and nominations including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. Her career began as an actress in 1995 when she played Ariel in The Tempest. On Broadway she was a part of the cast as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. In her film career she is most famous for performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her role as a character in ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
